Vijay Eswaran Pushes His Service Above Self Mantra

When Vijay Eswaran established the QI Group brand he was unsure of ever making a success of the business as he was left without contacts or any expert funding. Unlike many of his contemporaries in Kuala Lumpur, Vijay Eswaran is not a man to simply give up his chances of success for the future in chasing his dream of business success in the retail and wellbeing sectors. The London School of Economics graduate has become well-known for his charitable work alongside the business success he has achieved throughout his career.

The business leader reports he has developed a mantra for his business and philanthropic success, which is “service above self.” The mantra is used throughout the QI Group as employees are encouraged to give back to the various communities they work in to share the success being achieved at all levels of the company. Within the QI Group, there are many employees who work in different communities without feeling as though they are simply using the communities they are working in for capital gains. Instead, Vijay Eswaran believes his company allows individuals the opportunity to work for themselves for as long or as little as they like.

In developing business partnerships, Vijay Eswaran is always seeking new ways of extending his reach as a business leader and philanthropist. One of the most famous and successful partnerships entered into by the QI Group has been that with the English soccer team, Manchester City. Despite being one of the most successful in the world, Manchester City has never lost track of their roots alongside the members of their local community in England which relies on the club for many aspects of life. Vijay Eswaran is now worth around $500 million on a personal basis as his QI Group is said to have generated more than $750 million in revenue in 2017.
